The Making of an Experience

Interior delivers a living, breathing experience. The phenomenology of lighting and materials evoke experiences and sensory qualities. Their sensory potential can be relentlessly exploited to celebrate evocative qualities and functions. The feeling and poetics of space was a matter I was fascinated with. How can one orchestrate space to create a wealth of perceptual experiential material? For me, the journey of design intensified light, touched darkness, felt material, exhibited dimension, produced sound, composed thresholds, and crafted the possibilities of space. Memory, place, culture, comfort, and even decay can be spoken and expressed through the interior itself. A writhed, raised, mirrored, balanced, twisted, lofted, and pioneered moment of space can resurface with interior. Through the process of design, I aim to achieve interiors that instigate a sense of experience.
