PAVILLION

The structural system and the round glulam wood sticks create light and shadow. These contrasting and co-existing elements reveal and express interesting lighting happening throughout the day. The dynamic and energic patterns reveal a sort of motion, a dance, between the vertical and diagonal elements. This dance is emphasized through the stringlike, linear double facade sticks. In addition, flutes made of wood trunks have been added next to seating arrangements to allow for a deeper engagement.
